At the department since 2005, rising from assistant to head (since 2018). In 2014–2022 – deputy director for research at the Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering. Defended his doctoral dissertation in 2020 and received the title of Professor in 2023.

Full biography

Born on 21 February 1979. In 2002 he graduated from Admiral Makarov University in 'Electromechanical Automation Systems and Electric Drive' with an honours master's degree, and studied as a postgraduate at the Department of Automation of Admiral Makarov NUOS until 2005.

Since 1 September 2005 he has worked at the Department of Computerized Control Systems – as assistant (2005–2007), senior lecturer (2007), associate professor (2008–2017) and head of department (since 2018). From 2014 to 2022 he was also deputy director for research at the Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering.

He defended his PhD in 2007 and his doctoral dissertation in 2020, and received the academic title of Professor of the CCS department in 2023.

Full biography

Graduated from Admiral Makarov MKI in 1981 and defended his PhD at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1985. He worked as a junior researcher and, in 1986–1998, as senior lecturer and associate professor of the Department of Ship Electrical Equipment, and as deputy dean. In 1989–1990 he undertook a research fellowship at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands).

From 1999 to 2018 he headed the CCS department. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Electrodynamics of the NAS of Ukraine in 2001 and received the title of Professor in 2003. Since 2009 he has been director of the Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering of NUOS.

He made a major contribution to improving the energy efficiency of power converters based on high-frequency links with resonant inverters. He is a member of the specialised council of Kyiv Polytechnic and the expert council of the Ministry of Education; six PhD and one doctoral dissertation were defended under his supervision.

He has been awarded the badges 'Excellence in Education of Ukraine' (2002), 'Leader of Education' (2010) and 'For Scientific Achievement' (2010).

Viktor Tymchenko

Full biography

Born on 1 January 1958 in the village of Mostove, Mykolaiv region. He graduated from the ship electrical equipment faculty of MKI in 1982.

He worked as an engineer and junior/senior researcher, completed his postgraduate studies in 1988 and defended his PhD on the stabilisation of anchored floating objects. He later served as academic secretary of the research centre, head of the international department and deputy vice-rector for research.

In 2013 he defended his doctoral dissertation, 'Robust control of dynamic objects under uncertainty based on structurally switched feedback', at Odesa National Polytechnic University.

Author of over 150 research works (8 in Scopus); his monograph on robust-optimal stabilisation of marine moving objects was published in Germany. He has taken part in 35 international conferences and is a full member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (London).

A master in computerized control systems and automation, she graduated from the department in 2012 and completed her postgraduate studies in 'Semiconductor power converters' (supervisor – Prof. H. Pavlov).

Active in research from her first year, she was a prize-winner of national student research competitions in 2010–2012 and held a Presidential Scholarship in 2011. In 2018 she defended her PhD, 'Frequency converters based on resonant inverters with time-pulse control', at Kyiv Polytechnic, and received the title of Associate Professor in 2021.

In 2021 she received the Verkhovna Rada Prize for young scientists for work on the comprehensive automation and energy efficiency of ship-repair processes, and in 2024 – the President of Ukraine's Prize for young scientists. A Cabinet of Ministers scholar since 2020, she is the author of 82 publications, 26 of them in Scopus / Web of Science.

Born on 20 April 1991 in Mykolaiv. In 2014 he graduated from the Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering of NUOS in 'Electromechanical Automation Systems and Electric Drive' with an honours master's degree.

He completed his postgraduate studies at the CCS department (2014–2017) and has been a lecturer since September 2015, working in parallel as a junior researcher on state-funded and international research projects.

His research covers computerized systems for parametric monitoring and controlled stabilisation of floating structures (including the floating dock). He is the author of more than 50 publications and utility-model patents, with a Scopus h-index above 10, and has taken part in 22 conferences.

Born on 26 April 1991 in Mykolaiv. He graduated from the Mykolaiv Maritime Lyceum with a gold medal in 2008, then from NUOS with an honours master's degree in 2014.

From 2014 to 2017 he was a postgraduate at the CCS department in 'Computer systems and components'; he defended his PhD in 2019 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2023. Since 2015 he has worked at the department and as a researcher on state-funded and international projects.

As part of an author team he received the Verkhovna Rada Prize for young scientists (2020) and the President of Ukraine's Prize for young scientists (2024). He is the author of 80+ publications and 17 patents, with a Scopus h-index above 10, and has experience teaching international students in English. In 2021 a student he supervised took second place in the national student research competition in 'Automation and CIT'.

He graduated from Admiral Makarov Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Institute in 1978 in 'Ship electrical equipment' (electrical engineer) and worked in engineering roles at industrial enterprises of Mykolaiv.

He has worked at Admiral Makarov NUOS since 2001. In 2021 he defended his PhD on mathematical models for estimating the effort of time management in ship design-documentation projects, in the field of project and programme management.

Full biography

He earned his degree in 126 'Information Systems and Technologies' and, after his master's in 2024, continued as a postgraduate at Admiral Makarov NUOS in G7 'Automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics' (supervisor – Assoc. Prof. O. Herasin).

An assistant at the department since September 2025, he runs laboratory and practical classes in programming, databases and the design and development of information systems, with a focus on the practical use of modern development tools.

He has extensive practical experience in backend development, database design, external-API integration, REST services, containerisation and server infrastructure, with particular interest in monitoring systems for technical objects, IoT technologies and automation software.

Full biography

She graduated from Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Institute as an electrical engineer in 1983 and worked in the field at the 'Giprosudmash' design institute (1983–1999) as engineer and senior/lead engineer of the automation department.

She joined NUOS in 1999 as a senior laboratory assistant of the CCS department, becoming a methodologist in 2001 and soon a Category I methodologist. For over 25 years she has built the department's teaching-and-methodological base and handles much of its organisational work, including during accreditation.
