Admission
What is the minimum score for state-funded admission?
The minimum competitive score to take part in the state-funded competition is 130. The specialty is state-supported, so the threshold is usually 10–20 points lower than for classic IT specialties.
How many applications can I submit?
Up to 5 applications for state-funded places, with priorities 1–5 (1 – highest). The priority cannot be changed after submitting, so decide in advance.
Which NMT subjects are required?
Ukrainian language and literature, mathematics, history of Ukraine and any other subject of your choice.
How many state-funded places are there?
The licensed capacity is 50 students. There are bonuses too: +2% to the score for priority 1–2 and a regional coefficient of ×1.07.
How much does contract study cost?
Bachelor's – about UAH 11,000 per semester; Master's – about UAH 13,000 per semester (as of 2026).
When do I apply in 2026?
Registration of e-cabinets opens on 1 July. Bachelor's applications: 19 July – 1 August. State-funded admission: by 13 August. See the admission calendar for exact dates.
Which documents are required?
Certificate of complete general secondary education with its supplement, an NMT certificate, copies of your passport and tax ID, three 3×4 photos, proof of residence, and (for men) a military-registration document.
Study
Which degree levels does the department offer?
Three levels: Bachelor (4 years), Master (1.5 years) and PhD (4 years). You can complete the whole path at the department.
What Master's programmes are available?
"Computerized Control Systems and Automation" (state-funded + contract) and "Intelligent Computer Control Systems" (contract).
What is the language of instruction?
The main language of instruction is Ukrainian. Some lecturers have experience teaching international students in English; terms for international applicants are arranged individually.
Where do classes take place?
In rooms 408, 415 and 417 – laboratories with control-system mock-ups, controllers and process simulators, not ordinary computer classes.

What jobs do graduates take?
Programmers, software testers, web developers, system administrators, automation and robotics engineers, DevOps engineers. Many graduates found their own IT companies.
Who are the department's employers?
GeeksForLess (the department's exclusive partner), GlobalLogic, Schneider Electric, Zorya-Mashproekt, Nibulon, Luxoft and other IT and industrial enterprises of the region.
Can I do research while studying?
Yes. The department welcomes talented Master's and PhD students into its research groups – energy-efficient converters, intelligent control, robotics and IoT.
